Good question! A fellow creative I have met named Fred Charles asked this question to a creative group and decided why don't we all blog about it and share! Such a cool idea I thought because we can all use some motivation, support , and love when it comes to our creativity and what helps us keep doing what we do.
I came across a quote the other day. I was in search of beautiful quotes that I like to include with my paintings when I ship them and this one really hit me at the heart:
"All my inspiration comes from life. That's how it never stops, in a way." ~Marina Abramovic
In my own experience this has been so true. Much of my work here has come from my own stories of life. My interactions with others has inspired the new gallery For the Love of People. So much in nature makes me feel in wonder of this life and so that also makes me feel inspired to create.
I use the word feel a lot and I think that is when I am creating from the truest place. When I allow my heart my center being feel deeply, when I stop and listen to the rhythm of life I can't help but want to share that! The way I can do that is by creating a piece of artwork, combined with the story from where it came.
So you see, to me, there is no formula for inspiration.
Inspiration is life.
Life is all around us. It is up to each and every one of us to stop and fill our buckets to the brim with treasures we can collect daily. Then it is up to us to share those treasures and what they mean to us. In doing so we spread a love that changes us and gives us a reason to get up in the morning. A reason to share our unique voice and vision with our communities wherever and whomever they may be. We spread a love that can change others giving them a reason to smile.
That is where my inspiration comes from at least. I hope I help bring a smile to your face dear reader. I enjoy hearing your thoughts and ideas as well! Interaction with genuine hearts is something we all need and thrive on! When you indulge in a piece of my art please know you bring a smile to my face and my heart is unbelievably grateful that you are placing something I created in your hearts and homes.
